Kieron Moore’s Ford Fiesta ST is officially the hottest hatch in town after winning the HIC Rides competition for September.
Kieron from Chelmsley Wood in Birmingham bought the fire engine red 2014 Fiesta for £11,000 this year and it is the third ST he has owned.
Ford Fiesta ST has plenty of poke
He loves the way the car sits on the road, how resilient they are, and, above all, the snarl of the engine. He describes the ride as fun and comfortable with plenty of poke when he needs it.
The Fiesta has been manufactured since 1976, there have been seven incarnations and more than 16 million have been sold – making it one of Ford’s best selling models.
The ST has a 2.0 L Duratec petrol engine with a top speed of 129 mph. As standard it features 17 in alloy wheels, disc brakes to all wheels, side skirts, body colour handles and bump strips.
Mods make Fiesta ST tasty, very, very, tasty
Kieron’s Fiesta ST however comes with a hatful of rather tasty modifications including:
- A lowered body on Bilstein b14 coilovers
- Fifteen 52 Turbomacs custom colour wheels
- Gloss black plastics
- Triple r full splitter kit on the front end
- ITG induction kit
- Milltek race exhaust
Hot hatch performance is “outstanding”
In his own words, the mods help deliver “outstanding” performance – “I couldn’t want anything more from it”.
Kieron’s friends and family are enthusiastic about his car, but, he confided: “They think I’m nuts for how much money and time spend on it.”
Fortunately for him, plenty voted for the ST in September’s HIC Rides competition – the online car show you can enter from the comfort of your own home.
.If your car is the talk of the neighbourhood get it polished up and photographed to enter the next HIC Rides competition.
